Procedures and Routines
Procedures and routines are important to the classroom environment. They help the students know what is expected of them and they help the teacher organize the class so that students have the best opportunity for learning. Following are the procedures and routines that will be used in the ASL courses taught over the ITV.

*Portions of class are conducted without the use of voice.
*Students are expected to refrain from voicing during these times.
*Students must use visual attention during these times.
Bathroom Passes
*Two bathroom passes may be used while we are waiting for all schools to connect. Once everyone is connected bathroom passes are not to be used. (unless obvious emergency)
Tardy
*Admit slip necessary for an excused tardy
*Three unexcused tardies will equal one unexcused absence and will result in infraction letters
Taking a Test/Quiz
*No talking, after one warning student(s) will receive a zero
*Dishonesty will not be tolerated. Student will receive a zero on the assignment/assessment and Infraction letters will be sent to parents and principals.
Absences
*Admit slips are required upon returning to class- please get this from the office before coming to class
*Students are responsible for obtaining missed information- check your email. There will be an email from me regarding what you missed.
*Missed assignments are due within two days after returning- exceptions will be made for larger projects.
*Missed quizzes and tests typically must be made up before, after school, during third hour or fifth hour. You are responsible for arranging a time to complete the test/quiz. If you fail to show up for an arranged test time you will not be given a second opportunity to complete the test.
*Truancy will be considered an infraction. Parents and principals will be notified in writing.
Turning In Assignments
*If assignments need to be mailed to me, one student will be responsible for collecting papers, placing in envelope, attaching mailing label and placing in outgoing mail. Most assignments will be turned in online or if required scanned by the ECMECC facilitator at your school and emailed to me directly.
*Students present in class, but failing to turn in assignments at requested time will receive late work scores.
Students who do not meet these expectations will receive written infraction letters. Be sure you understand that upon receiving a second written infraction letter the student will be removed from the class for the remainder of the year. Credit may be lost. If you have questions about the expectations or requirements for this class please feel free to contact me at Pine City High School. My voicemail number is (320) 629-4195 and email is [email protected]. Thank you for your support and cooperation.
