1. Being Responsible
be in seat when bell rings- ready to learn
bring all materials to class-device, paper, pencil/pen
complete assignments on time
stay in assigned seat until the bell rings. -Packing up belongings 1-5 minutes before the bell rings is not acceptable.
truancy is not tolerated 3 tardies = 1 absence + detention
listening to music while Mrs. Shearer is teaching is not acceptable
**As a member of a 1:1 program, it is your responsibility to bring your device to class each day charged and ready for use. Failure to do so will result in your being sent to the Media Center to receive a violation. If your device is in need of charging it will be kept and charged for the remainder of the class hour or until it reaches 50%. It is your responsibility to pick it up between classes. Loaner devices are available only for devices that are mailed in for repair.
Violation #1 - Warning
Violation #2 - Detention
Violation #3 - Detention and loss of privilege to take device home for the period of 20 school days.
2. Being respectful and courteous
listen/watch attentively to instructor and to other students
keep materials for other classes put away
Phones must be out of sight unless specifically allowed. 1st offense: You will get a verbal reminder, if I see it again, I take it away and turn into the office. You may pick it up at the end of the day. 2nd offense: your parents will pick it up. 3rd offense: you spend a day in the options room.

participation in ASL is absolutely required in order learn the language-this includes signing in front of your peers

*Each assignment is meaningful. It is important to make the effort to get each one in and to your advantage to get it in on time. Keep returned assignments until the quarter ends to prepare for tests and as evidence if any discrepancy arises between your records and the grade book.
